Why Genussrabe?
The restaurant was named after the spotted nutcracker, which is also commonly known as the Nussrabe (nut raven). In summer and autumn, it buries hundreds of stone pine nuts as winter stores, recovering about 80% of them. The remaining nuts grow into the wonderfully fragrant, beautiful stone pine trees that make our forests here in the Nockberge mountains so unique and which surround Restaurant Genussrabe.
